The EOLIAN partners will gather for the project’s M12 General Assembly on 16-17 June. The meeting is being hosted by Tekniker at its site in Eibar, Spain.
The programme includes a Preliminary Design Review meeting and updates on active Work Packages:
- WP2: Development of advanced materials based on dynamic covalent bonds (leader by Tekniker);
- WP3: Multiscale modelling and characterisation of vitrimer chemistries (leader by Brunel University London);
- WP4: SHM technologies and operation and maintenance methodologies (leader Tekniker);
- WP5: Wind turbine blade design, manufacturing and testing; upscaling vitrimer (leader AEP Polymers);
- WP7: Sustainability analysis and risk assessment (leader IRES);
- WP8: Dissemination and exploitation (leader EuCIA);
- WP9: Project management (Proplast).
There will also be a wind energy workshop presented by Norvento and Zorlu Enerji, a meeting of the project’s External Advisory Board, and a tour of Tekniker.
In EOLIAN, Tekniker’s work includes the development of vanillin-based vitrimer composites reinforced with basalt fibres and the integration of sensors and actuators into the composite material through an in-mould electronics approach. Read more in our Meet the partners interview.
