EOLIAN’s first stakeholder workshop took place on 11th December.
Nearly 70 people registered to attend the event, which offered an introduction to the project and its mission to develop a new generation of wind turbine blades offering longer lifetime, better maintainability and reliability, together with higher sustainability and recyclability.
The webinar offered an introduction to EOLIAN’s work to develop new vitrimer composite materials for manufacturing recyclable and repairable blades, technologies to enable structural health monitoring and de-icing, and the manufacture and potential benefits of the new EOLIAN blade.
Guest speakers offered insights from related EU-funded projects BLADE2CIRC and ECORES WIND.
